Workflows
Workflows provide an internal review routing mechanism for transmittals and letters. They allow document controllers to route correspondence through sequential review steps within their company before taking action.
Watch this walkthrough to see the complete workflow process in action — from starting a preset review cycle to submitting comments and moving through steps.
How Workflows Work
- A workflow is a series of ordered steps assigned to participants within your company.
- Each participant reviews the correspondence and submits a comment (and optionally files).
- Once all participants in a step have submitted, the next step activates automatically.
- Workflows are internal to your company and do not involve other companies.
- Both transmittals and letters can have workflows.
Workflow Modes
Preset Workflow: Select from a pre-configured template. The template's steps and pre-assigned participants are automatically set up.
Dynamic Workflow: Build custom steps on the fly by defining step titles, selecting assignees from your company, and setting comment requirements.
