What is Mowafeq?
Mowafeq is a document controlling platform designed for multi-company construction and engineering projects. It centralizes the management of project documents, transmittals, and letters exchanged between participating organizations (contractors, consultants, clients, etc.). Each company maintains its own users and data while collaborating within a shared, project-scoped environment. All activity in the application is scoped to the currently selected project.
Key Concepts
- Project: The top-level container. All documents, transmittals, letters, and settings belong to a project. Users switch between projects using a project selector.
- Company: Each user belongs to a company. Companies participate in projects. Data visibility is scoped to the user's company and its project relationships.
- Document Controller: A staff-level user responsible for managing document flows, starting reviews, and administering the system.
