Video Walkthrough

Manage project members and their roles.

The Members section shows everyone who has access to the current project, across every company assigned to it — not just users from your own company. This is also where administrators add existing people, invite new people, or create accounts directly for the current project.

Member List

  • Columns: Name, Email, Position, Company, Role.
  • Role badges: Admin (superuser — has access to all projects automatically), Staff (Document Controller), or Member (regular user).
  • The list combines members from all companies linked to the project, so a contractor's Document Controller and a consultant's reviewers appear together.

Adding an Existing Member

Click Add existing to open a searchable picker of eligible users and add them to the project.

  • Superusers can add any user from any company linked to the project.
  • Document Controllers (staff) can add users from their own company only; the picker is limited accordingly.

Inviting a New Member

Click Invite user, enter their email and optional profile details, and send the invitation. The invitation is automatically scoped to the current project. Superusers select one of the companies linked to the project; Document Controllers invite into their own company.

Creating a User Directly

Click Create user to create an active account with a username and password. The account is automatically assigned to the current project. Superusers select a linked project company; Document Controllers can create accounts only in their own company. Use Document Controller to grant staff-level access.

Removing a Member

Use the Remove action on a row to revoke that user's access to this project. The same company-scoping applies — Document Controllers can only remove users from their own company. Superusers cannot be removed here because their project access comes from their role, not from a per-project assignment.

Managing Notification Preferences

Click the bell icon on a user's row to manage their email notification preferences. Staff and admins can manage preferences for users in their company; superusers can manage any user. See Notification Preferences for details.
