Working Calendar

Navigating: Project Settings → Project → Working Calendar.

By default, the Overdue counter on the dashboard and in registries counts every calendar day since a transmittal was submitted. The Working Calendar makes those counters skip non-working days instead.

Working Calendar page with holidays and weekend configuration

Configuration

Count Working Days Only

The master toggle. When off, nothing changes and counting stays in calendar days. When on, the overdue calculation respects weekends, holidays, and custom days off.

Holiday Country

Pick the country whose public holidays should not count (e.g., Qatar). Lunar-based holidays (Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha) use estimated dates marked "(estimated)" — when the official dates are announced, correct them in the Days Off list. Choose "No holiday calendar" to skip weekends only.

Weekend Days

Click the weekday chips to mark the weekly days off (e.g., Fri–Sat). At least one weekday must remain working.

Days Off List

The generated holidays for the current and next year, grouped by year, each with a toggle. Switch a holiday off if the project works through it (it shows struck-through). Use the row at the top to add project-specific dates:

  • Day off — A site shutdown or an announced Eid extension.
  • Working day — A make-up workday that falls on a weekend or holiday.

Custom dates carry a "Custom" badge and can be removed with the trash icon.

How It Affects Overdue Status

When working days mode is enabled:

  1. The overdue counter increments only on working days.
  2. Weekends and holidays are skipped.
  3. Custom working days can "cancel out" a weekend or holiday.

Example: A transmittal submitted on Thursday with a 3-day overdue threshold counts Thursday, Sunday, Monday (if Fri–Sat are weekends) before showing as overdue on Tuesday.

Testing Your Configuration

After setting up the calendar:

  1. Check the Days Off list for correct holiday dates.
  2. Verify weekend chips match your project's schedule.
  3. Review overdue items in the dashboard to confirm counts are correct.
