Custom Fields
Documents use two field systems:
Document Type Fields
Defined per document type:
- Dropdown fields (e.g., "Discipline" with options "Mechanical", "Structural", "Electrical").
- Always required when creating or editing a document of that type.
- Option abbreviations are used in auto-generated reference numbers.
Project-Level Custom Fields
Defined per project, apply to all documents:
- Support five types: Text, Number, Date, Single Select, Multi Select.
- Each can be marked required or optional by the project administrator.
- Appear as additional columns in the document registry.
- Managed by Document Controllers in Project Settings.
